A place of Welcome, Learning and Sharing
Three hectares surrounded by mountains, lakes, forest dedicated to your well being, to the transmission of knowledge, to the sharing of experience...
At 80 km north of Antalya, veryeasy to access yet real haven of peace, the Yunus Emre farm welcomes you since 2009.
For new people, know that the farm having almost entirely burned in a forest fire in 2012, is in its reconstruction process...Better accomodation, more comfort, and a vast range of program will be available very soon... and to tell the truth, we expect the reopening of the farm by Autumn 2017 :)

Thanks to Omar Faruk Tekbilek we can also listen to lovely music of Crescent Moon...You may be happy to learn that the Yunus Emre farm is now organising a Fund raising campaign to which everyone may participate; the aim being the reconstruction of the farm, taking place in a twofold process: main buildings (guest house) might be financed by funds granted by TKDK local development agency (application is still in process...) + annexe buildings might be financed by this crowd funding campaign : You if you wish ! ... to learn more about this venture... click HERE !

A place of learning....
Sharing knowledge is essentiel for us; that is why seminars and workshop are frequent in the Yunus Emre farm;
Thanks to these collective experiences, ideas are exchanged and get richer, allowing everyone to evolve...
Besides every participant becomes part of a unique experience of shared LIFE in the particularly magic space of the Yunus Emre farm...
Main topics about which workshop take place - all have in common that they bring tools for better life, better being, better world -

We also plan to organise workshops with Local villagers / builders/ artists as Guest teachers, so that we can Learn ancient techniques from the very rich Turkish Culture ... this can comprise : Cooking (making Pekmez, preparing Figs, making Pomegranate sauce....) - Building in "kerpich" technique (mud + straw) - Pottery and other Handycraft etc.

You may know or not know, the lack of accomodation in the farm is crucial... that is the reason of our application to TKDK, rural development agency: we do hope to be granted with fundings allowing to rebuild the farm and start again full activity with many programs bringing benefits to all !

Place of Sharing..."Blue Stays"
According to your inclination, interests, you may wish to receive some guidance, knowledge without participating to a collective workshop...
Available topics will be at least :
Yoga retreat (guided by Isabelle, accredited Satyananda yoga teacher from Bihar School of Yoga)
Ayurvéda (introduction to basics of Ayurveda , by Isabelle)
Ayurvédic cooking (basics and practice with Isabelle)
Gardening, introduction about Permaculture (by Isabelle, qualified in permaculture)
Other possibilities according to our present guest teachers.... construction, plants, arts...

1. Different possibilities for accomodation...
According to your desires, needs and budget, a wide range of possibilities will be available...
"Camping" !
Always possible in the farm - at least during spring and autumn !
Bathroom nearby, for those who prefer to have nothing between them and Nature !
"Dormitori" huts (4)
Very simple, basic hut, out of wood, with some bamboo, a comfortable bed under the trees,
nothing less, nothing more...
Toilets and showers are not far from the Dormitories...
Of course Dormitories might be only available in good weather :)

"Anahat guest rooms" (2): Chambre d'hôtes :
Anahat is the guest house (see next chapter), and comprises two double rooms with shared toilets. Being inside the house, these rooms will be available all year long, having direct access to all facilities of Anahat, kitchen, living room, oven, activity room... see details in the next chapter...
Anahat's rooms have their own individual access from outside. No picture available yet but Anahat house is shown below... :)
2. Other buildings of the farm's design
"ANAHAT" the Guest house:
Large house situated in the very center of the Sun Garden. It comprises a kitchen for groups and seminars, a dining room, a living room, toilets, and at the first floor, the activity room (for arts, yoga, handy craft, music...)
Two double rooms are available all year long in Anahat, see the previous article.
Anahat will be the Life center of the farm. Here some images of the house, still under study ...

"Guest Pergola":
Very airy, this nice pergola out of wood will be at our Guest's disposale for cooking, having tea or coffee (or both!), resting, chatting, meeting other guests etc.
Of course image is ... just basic image ...
SARASWATI, the YOGA and KNOWLEDGE tent :
This is an ancient tent which has been spared by the fire !!!
It contains all the books and yoga material ...
Now the roof has been covered with tiles but the walls need some renovation...
This is planned in our construction plan ....
Saraswati is a beautiful space for Yoga practices, satsang, meditation, facing the East and Sunrise...

OFFICE - SHOP of the farm CHANDI
This is the small tent CHANDI which has also been spared by the fire,
Its walls will be renovated, as well as its floor ...
Very basic hut yet pleasant, warm and comfortable to welcome you ! ...
Just as information ....
The TOOLSHED
Will comprise :
-- the toolshed for sure !
-- the technical room for electrical material (batteries, generator..)
-- the laundry
-- a nice green house which will heat up the construction during winter:)
-- a terrace - pergola will also be available
from the side
And DURGA ... the big Yoga Shala
Situated in the Moon garden (whereas all other buildings are on the Sun garden) Durga is the large place for Yoga, seminars, meetings etc. (around 150 m2)
By sort of a miracle, it has also been spared by the fire although it was only made out of wood and bamboo !!! ...
Now its roof has been covered by tiles, and soon we shall fix a proper wooden floor as well as nice walls and basic arrangements ...
Once this will be done (prevision this summer/ autumn 2016) the programs in the farm might take another dimension .... :)
We also hope in a not too far future to include in the design a SPACE for KIDS to PLAY .... an ECOLOGICAL POOL ....
For the time being (june 2016) we are still in the process of applying to TKDK development agency, for the building of Anahat;
Besides, a Crowd Funding campaign is now organised to finance the other constructions ... lets cross the fingers !

YUNUS EMRE FARM's project

The project comprises different parts, regarding both Schedule and Finances
FIRST PART of the project
Anahat the Guest house + Solar energy system = TKDK* + BANK financing
(about TKDK see at the end of this article)
ANAHAT is the HEART of the farm (by the bye Anahat means Heart in sanscrit); Anahat is ESSENTIAL to the farm, it will be the place where we can gather any time in all seasons, hot or cold, dry or rainy...
The SOLAR system will comprise 20 solar panels, 8 batteries and other accessories; we also plan SOLAR water heaters for Anahat.
Our maximum budget is 250 000 TL** - and will have to include the following :
--> Anahat's construction, as well as preparation, studies (which take place now)
--> the SOLAR energy system, for electricity and water
TKDK's grant might cover up to 65% of the full budget, a bank loan will cover the 35% remaining; we shall start to give this money back when the farm resumes its activities - estimated in autumn 2017 -
Anahat's construction will be triggered by TKDK's DECISION (hopefully positive:) : between novembre 2016 and april 2017 - work duration is estimated at 3 months.
The solar system installation might take place as soon as the Toolshed is built... and for the water heater, of course it willcome after Anahat is finished...
SECOND PART of the project
Other Accomodation and annexes = Crowd Funding Campaign :)
The other accomodation and annexes are : (see more details in part 6 of this campaign : Different ways of helping)
-- the small wooden huts : Dormitoris = everything has to be built;
-- the toolshed = everything to be done :)
-- toilet and shower huts = existing constructions needing some renovation
-- existing tents : Saraswati et Chandi = to renovate and strengthen :)
-- Durga the big Yoga shala = existing construction, which however need a real floor, walls and some arrangement !...
The financing of this part is much more delicate... and I dare to tell you genuinely that...
I completely leave it up to you.... up to the Universe....
If you know the farm since some time, you probably know that the farm's financial situation is still very critical...
Although I do my best, I can't live upon the very small incomes brought by the yoga classes in Antalya... Only thanks to YOUR DONATION can I keep going !..
However I strongly believe that when the farm resumes its activities, money will flow again... but for that the farm NEEDS accomodation and better facilities to welcome guests ...
So that it why I finally decided to launch this Crowd Funding campaign... both to help the rebuilding of the farm and the Life during construction....
TODAY 22 october , I already can tell you that donations have come; we are going to FINISH DURGA in a few weeks; soon pics will come
besides we APPLIED FOR " TERRE DE FEMME" PRIZE from YVES ROCHER FONDATION to maybe get fundings for the DORMITORIS; crossing fingers!
So to come back to this Fund Raising : there might be different ways to support the reconstruction of the farm :

Lastly some confidence from my heart to your heart :)
Despite of the huge difficulties and obstacles that I found on the way of the Yunus Emre farm since its birth in 2008, I do continue to strongly believe in it.
The Yunus Emre farm project comes from the heart.
It allows our hearts to express.
So, although having almost not a penny left, I take up this new era established in Absolute Trust, with the "sankalpa" of the Yunus Emre farm's reconstruction in my heart;
And even if only ANAHAT gets built, well that will be fine, we can at least resume programs and generate some incomes :) and slowly slowly the farm will continue its way with its friends... hands in hands ...
And you know already that Donation have arrived which will allow DURGA construction !!!!!!

And for those who wish to learn about TKDK ....
TKDK is a turkish development agency which receives funding from European Union and distributes them to projects according to specific criterias.
What are the criterias ?
The project should bring benefit to the region, the local people, maybe involve their participation, promote the local culture...
The Yunus Emre farm totally fits with the "Rural tourism" sector, and will definitely be able to bring benefits to many, once activities restart...
Process:
We are now continuing to prepare our application which should be given by Septembre 2016
Then TKDK studies our case and gives its decision between 2 to 7 months = Novembre 2016 to Avril 2017 latest;
Positively imagine that :) TKDK APPROVE ;) our application...
Then we take out a Loan up to the total amount of the budget, because we must start works with "our" money. Only when construction is finished will TKDK pay up to 65% of the invoices.
And then the farms resume activities, generate incomes and pays the loan back, slowly slowly ...
and to continue surfing in the campaign ....
