THE BIG HAVAN - sacred fire -

 

The Mega Havan

 

And so the Yunus Emre Farm has been offered to the flames of Shiva, the Dancer, the Destroyer..for a huge havan, the sacred fire, for a transformation, for a rebirth.

Because this is how i wish to look at things and this is how i feel and see them.

The cycle of Nature

Creation, birth..preservation, life, destruction, death, to move towards another cycle another birth

A renaissance  (or rebirth)

A mega havan, the big sacred fire

With mega gratitude because the animals and I are still here, living and filled with optimism and positivity to continue the Yunus Emre Farm

In every havan, there is prasad.

Therefore the positive vision continues to carry me and us. Chants and mantras, the connection to the divine world, the invisible world, to the unmanifest world, which is just as real.

 

The well known ‘Hari Om Tat Sat’

 

Manifest world (Hari) and unmanifest world (Om) make only one.  One is the manifestation of the other, and it is that (Tat) that is the reality (Sat) 

And thus connected, for us to let ourselves be guided, carried by the unmanifest (through meditation, silence) before reacting and thinking in the manifest workd, with full faith and with absolute certitude and conviction that everything that happens is ,always for my and our good and in the best way.

Even though the fire raged 500 metres down from the farm,  pushed by the wind and fed by the forest, in a single gulp it devoured trees and buildings to finally stop, extinguished by the brave firemen who also managed to save not only Atesh, the farm’s dog but also Saraswati, the yoga studies tent with the precious yoga books from India, as well as Durga, the large camelia of yoga, as well as the Chandi tent and trees and plants of the lotus garden around Saraswati.

 

ALL the rest burnt. And comprised the famous Lotus pond that you had financed.

Therefore

Everything will be rethought and reconstructed in a better way and all together.

Your presence and actions and support, your positive thoughts connects us all together as Friends of the Yunus Emre Farm, my family, friends of yoga and permaculture and of nature generating positive vibrations of love, which are certainly bringing good to the little Yunus Emre Farm.

Guarding all present in the heart and the spirit to continue in the tradition of yoga, there is a mega Ganesh in Yunus Emre Farm.

Ganesh is the son of Shiva, Ganesh is the one who helps to overcome the obstacles and difficulties in life.

 

At present in concrete terms

 

Another big ‘hayir’, a blessing : it was the arrival, on the day of the fire, of Julian, a young German medical student  who had come as a volunteer at the farm before participating in the permaculture course.

He is therefore with me since the beginning an is an immense support, as much for the material plan as above all the moral plan. We were able to organise a mini camp, I could sleep in Saraswati tent and Julian slept in Chandi, the neighbours and friends from Antalya immediately came with bedding and kitchen items.

Needless to say that we are going when we want to the neighbours houses when we have need, Mustafa and all his family, Hatice, Le Muhtar Turan are helping us so much.

Furthermore, on the day of the fire, the representatives of institutions  such as Kaymakam (Prefect) , Orman müdürü (Forest dept director) were there and warmly assured me of their support, legal, material and moral.

On the legal side, the Turkish state who is the owner of the forest intends to start proceedings as it appears to be responsible for the break out of the fire, probably caused by soldering/welding work

In addition, the farm has a good French speaking lawyer, which will enable me to understand everything that will go on around me concerning this fire and to better defend the farm’s interests.

It is therefore another immense support and relief to feel myself so assisted.

And if however you have not yet felt this, i wish to thank you all immensely for all that you have already done and continue to do.

I will probably not be able to respond to all your messages individually, and I also hope that on reading these lines and the information that will follow, you will feel to what point I am most grateful for everything.

 

Precisely : the next stage – the ‘plans’ at least for the near future.

 

Still many unknown parameters mean nothing is certain for the moment but a plan is being drawn little by little.

 

Collection of Materials

In order to reconstruct the farm which is destined to be a place of sharing knowledge and experience a collection is being organised.

In Antalya and in Turkey : basic materials,  such as tools, kitchen, work, garden, water, electricity etc.  Grace of our network, this is being organised magnificently well. 

The materials received like this will be kept in a temporary stock at friend’s houses before being despatched to the farm when it is ready to receive them.

Collection of financial means

 

Many of you know well that the farm did not have a lot of available money before the fire

 

At present it is really quite likely that the farm will gain from the process by being compensated for the loss and damage for both the material and immaterial aspect. On the other hand this will take time.

And during this time, it needs money

As much to begin base reconstruction in order to spend the winter dry and with heat  as for the financing of the legal fees and other inescapable costs of the farm.

Permaculture Course – Site Construction ?

The permaculure course was due to start on 28th September to 10th October and for the moment is in a state of suspension.

Will it take  place or not ? And if yes where ? This is not yet defined.

Saviana has agreed to come despite everything to help.

The fact that there is still a risk of the fire starting again around the farm means in all likelihood it will not be held on the farm land.

Also to organise a camp in the ashes and gloomy landscape of a charred forest, even if possible, is not exactly appropriate.

So we are looking for another place, there are already some propositions..at the neighbours ? in Antalya ? Olympos ? elsewhere ?

Therefore this is still on standby – in suspension for the moment as I write these lines on Sunday 16 September

On the other hand, we can hope for what we wish for.

-          The construction of a hut – house in clay and straw, which even if very small and basic will allow the winter to be  spent in the warm and dry and to continue work on the farm. 

-          The establishment of a new design so as to forsee the new constructions, lodging, kitchen, sanitation, study, gardens, workshop according to permmaculture and therefore in accord with nature and for that I wish to ask the help of one of the permaculture designers, who have experience in this doman and who will give us the base for the farm’s reconstruction. 

This also supposes that the organisation of a an eco construction site will be with one of the permaculture guides who will lead the site and certainly the volunteers to participate in it.

The help has already arrived in this sense..another blessing !

 

Therefore, on this subject, there will be more information in the week on the plans and real immediate needs, as well as the way to include you in this reconstruction plans if you wish and can.

In the middle of the smoking ashes and tears, there was only one thought in my head, I only see one alternative for the farm..

The farm will continue, we are going to reconstruct it, and this time all together !
