     OFFICIAL OPENING .. THE EXPERIENCE

This official opening celebration has been a very interesting .. yogic experience !

Aiming at informing the local responsible people like the Prefect, mayors and other related official people about the existence of the farm and what it is about, we had organised a very nice celebration in Durga - our big yoga shala- on this saturday 25 june.

After 2 months preparation, with lots of work and energy ultimately Durga was ready and ..  beautiful.

Some friends and the local mayor arrived early .. with them we waited for the other people, specially the "Kaymakam" ( Prefect)

    But nothing will happen...

We shall wait about 1 and half hour... and ultimately we shall learn that the Kaymakam is somewhere else in another program with no intention at all to come here to the Yunus Emre farm...

Everyone here is astounded ... and I am very dissapointed

    Big big disillusion !

We shall neither receive any phone call nor other kind of message.. nothing.

Because it would have been unrespectful to the "Kaymakam" none of the other official people will come

The celebration will still take place with the present friends, neighbors, relations... the atmosphere will be very special for sure...

And I will definitely feel on that occasion how big is the gap between our cultures ... Turkish culture ... European, French culture ...

Because actually for the Turks it is almost .. normal, or lets say, it is not exceptionnal at all.

    Turks always say:

"yes we shall come.. yes we shall do this and that" ..

    but actually we should understand

"we cannot say "no" but most probably we wont come.. we wont do this or that"

We need the "culture- dictionnary" to understand each other

And thus ACCEPT each other with our differences...

    ***************************************************

Additionnaly this experience will offer me the opportunity to see how big were the expectations !

Feeling dissapointment or disillusion means that we had expectations.

Most of the time we are not aware of our expectations.

Only when they are not fulfilled then we become AWARE.. because we suffer..

So such occasions offer the opportunity of becoming  AWARE of unknown expectation, and thus in the yogic way, WATCHING the inner process of emotions related to the event.

Then with the help of yoga watching the emotions which are "only" e-motion.. energy in motion... come to the surface and dissolve..

Then true contentement may take place. SANTOSH'.

Santosh is this inner peaceful joy, inner contentement which is here, whatever happens, whatever the experience, because with Santosh, we know that behind each experience, be it "pleasant" or "unpleasant", there is a teaching, there is a lesson, and actually the experience is in itself a step to improve ourselves.

At this stage we can thus THANK LIFE for having offered us such an opportunity to learn, and to improve.

The Sufis say that if something we expect, something we deeply wish doest not happen, it is BETTER so, both for ourselves and for others.

If one manages to LIVE this truely from inside, then one is in SANTOSHA the true  CONTENTEMENT which generates inner PEACE.
