• DESSERT- RICE CREAM WITH ORANGE                     DESSERT CREME DE RIZ A L'ORANGE

     

    VERY VERY EASY -  10 TO 15 MINUTES PLUS 20 MINUTES REST + COOLING TIME (specially in summer)

     

    for 8 persons

    rice flour : 250 gr

    sugar: 4 - 5 big spoons

    milk: 1 litre

    water: 1 small cup

    flavours: different choices *** decorations (optional !)  :

    orange jam / orange blossom *** orange segment

    cinnamon  *** mint leave

    vanilya *** coffee grain

    In a pan but NOT ON THE FIRE, mix all together milk, sugar and rice flour.

    Then let the pan rest 20 to 30 minutes, time for sugar to be totally absorbed. 

    Then add the flavour of your choice, orange jam or other, and put the pan on a very LOW fire while constantly stirring until the mixture becomes thick.

    As SOON as it has become thick IT IS READY. Turn OFF the fire.

    Check taste, flavours, ajust if necessary....

     

    You may pour the cream in small bowls, and add decorations if you wish, 

    You may serve warm, or let it cool down little, of even savour it ice cold specially in summer.

     

    You will surprise your  friends with the simplicity of this excellent dessert that can be savoured whatever the season !
